Small biz planning courses start in August, September; Scholarships available for unemployed

The UW Parkside Small Business Development Center (SBDC) in partnership with the Wisconsin Women’s Business Initiative Corporation (WWBIC) announced dates for the fall Small Biz business planning courses to be held in Racine and Kenosha.

In addition, a limited number of scholarships will be available to individuals impacted by unemployment. The scholarships cover tuition and course materials for the Small Biz planning series, which assists individuals in preparing their business plans for starting their own venture. Priority will be given to those impacted or soon to be impacted by difficulties within the auto industry.

“As a condition of the scholarship, recipients are required to complete the course and submit a business plan that scores high enough to meet the evaluation criteria established through the State’s Entrepreneurial Training Program,” said Matthew Wagner, SBDC Director.
